I have decided to change the scope of the Howard Historian. It will no longer be a print publication. Instead I will have it available in PDF and sent directly to your email address. This will allow greater freedom in photos and color management and expense of producing the publication. It will also allow me to gradually change the format. I have always wanted to publish it as a magazine that includes articles, historical fiction, genealogical fiction, queries, etc. If you have always wanted to write, now is your chance. I can’t promise to publish everything, but each month I will pay $10 for a feature article and $5 for historical/genealogical fiction. Without the added expense of a print publication, I can produce as many “magazines” as I am able to research, and charge a dollar less per publication. Each issue is now only $5 and I will no longer have subscriptions available.
The first issue for this year is now available. The subject of the research was Rhesa Howard, who I found in the 1770’s in Georgia. The name intrigued me, so I set out to see if I could find out who he was and one small piece of information found by a woman doing research in the 1950’s put it all together.
