Howard mtDNA Project

The Howard mtDNA Project: This test traces the mother’s line from generation to generation just as the father’s line is traced from generation to generation. The test can be taken by male or female, since a woman passes her mtDNA to both sexes, but the male does not pass on any mtDNA.

This test can also determine other ancestry traits, such as Native American and is “designed to tell you from which immigration to the new world your male or female family progenitor arrived. To successfully take this test your lines of descent must be female to female to female (or male to male to male) all the way back to the person who was 100% of Native Ancestry.*” The “cohanim test” will show whether a person shares markers with descendents of the Biblical Aaron.
